Project Overview
The Milwaukee Press Club partnered with Lanex to redesign a website we originally developed more than a decade earlier. After serving the organization well for over 10 years, it was time to refresh the experience with a modern design, improved usability, and new functionality that better supports the Club’s growing membership, annual journalism contests, and administrative workflows. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue our longstanding partnership with an organization that has played such an important role in Wisconsin’s journalism community.
Rather than starting from scratch, we built upon a proven foundation by redesigning the site with a modern, responsive interface while enhancing the technology behind it. The project included normalizing and importing years of membership subscription data, developing custom administrative interfaces for membership approvals and contest judging, and integrating secure payment gateways to streamline membership renewals, contest registrations, and online transactions. These enhancements help ensure the Club’s busiest contest season runs efficiently while reducing the amount of manual administration required behind the scenes.
The result is a website that respects the Milwaukee Press Club’s legacy while providing a faster, more engaging experience for members, contestants, and visitors alike. By combining thoughtful design with custom application development and system integrations, we delivered a platform that’s easier to manage today and flexible enough to support the organization’s needs well into the future. We’re proud to continue supporting the Milwaukee Press Club as their technology partner and look forward to helping them evolve the platform for years to come.
